The Underworld

As a group of Tahlia, Claudia and myself we Finally recorded our Advertisement however to get prior knowledge of how to edit the Advertisement we had to separate and work individual to edit our final 60 seconds Advert. To be honest I did not like my final  advert as it was not what I expected to be. I used the audition software and it did not have many editing options that I wanted to improve on my Advert. The time limit had the most difficulties as the sounds cape had to be 60 seconds max, when our group recorded the production we did not look at our brief thoroughly as we it stated that we needed to time our recordings so when we edited we had no reason to cut our tracks. However due to not reading the content thoroughly I had to for my sounds cape to cut tracks out to reach 60 seconds. Deleting many recordings to fit the time limit, the production sounded different and not what we planned on our storyboard.

Within reason I loved how I did a production that was challenging and different. It is sad that this is my last production for the end of the year. This was a great year of creating many different production with the Many Faces Of Satin group. 🙂

In term two I am back for another production with Tahlia, Claudia. We started to plan our next production, we had a dilema of what concept to choose of visual or sound as we could do whatever we wanted. As most of you know all of our production has been visual, however the three of us wanted to encounter a new approach and step back to what we use to. In addition to taking a massive leap we all agreed to do a radio soundscape advertisement. Tahlia and myself have not worked within radio before so for us it was a stab in the dark, In radio it is particular hard to find a topic to persuade the audience but watching the news and seeing clips of Tony Abott, we had a passion to do something on Tony Abbott and his lies and promises. I hope you love our 60 seconds Advertisement of Tony Abbott and I will keep you update with more of the soundscape pitch!! 🙂

Violence on TV happens everyday around the world, know one takes action to stop or take it off and children watching movies, news and cartoon shows that has violence in it are influence by it because they do not no any different.

The media issue of TV violence is a growing problem in the modern society. The scope of violent behaviour has had serious consequences as the youth are multifactorial and usually the ones doing the situation. Research today has said, children exposure to media violence plays an important role in violence behaviour.

In Australia it is targeting mostly youth children and their parents. Case study has revealed young children will mimic aggressive acts on TV, resulting on the media children getting abused or doing the violence. Children are exposed younger than 8 years old already have witnessed 200, 00 acts of violence and 16,000 murders.

The solution to stop this issue of arising  is to maybe stop the children while their young to stop watching TV that has any of violence in it. We cannot make them stop watching TV at all however parents and adults can teach children how violence can impact the world and it can be stopped.

In the creative industry the person that inspires me is Sandra Bullock. This amazing lady is a television producer, film producer and an actress. Sandra was born July 26, 1964 in Arlington, Virginia, USA. I truly think she is very inspiring because of the way, Bullock naturally acts in films like the lady was born to act. Sandra Bullock had a mother who was an opera singer, which led her to be on the road when bullock was a child.This started her dream to be an actress, so Sandra enrolled in Carolina University where she graduated and became an actor.

While she moved to New York, Bullock took acting classes with Sanford Meissner. This entailed her too appear in several student films, and later landed a role in an Off-Broadway play No Time Flat. A famous director was impressed by Bullock’s performance and offered her a part in the TV movie Bionic Showdown. Then with her amazing talent she became the important role of the TV serious, Working Girl in 1992.

Bullock had a noticeable supporting role in the science-fiction/action film Demolition Man in 1993, followed by a leading role in Speed the following year. This movie was phenomenon hitting the charts of $350 million and it was the second most successful film of the year.

I love Sandra because of how she dedicates all of her hard work into her job.  I don’t know anyone but her to act in so many films and to be the funniest, highest paid actress and displays so much emotion to her work. Her films that she is known for is the Heat, The Blind Side, The Proposal, Crash, Gravity, Miss Congeniality 1&2, The lake house, While you were sleeping, Speed and many further exhilarating and inspiring films. The one film that made me to be inspired in the media industry and to love the actress is the movie Blind Side. The movie itself is lovable, heart-warming and inspiring to many people. Sandra Bullock was the main female actress in the film, where she took this homeless African-American teenager in her home even though black people were forbidden to live with a white family.
Her characteristics in the film was outstanding, the way she fell into the role was real and touching it was like she was the actual person, as it was based on a true story.

Sandra Bullock is caring, smart and funny, she is someone everybody should look up to. Bullock worked hard for her dream to come true and she shows other people, you can follow your dream if you are passionate enough.

The many faces of Satan created a paramour trailer for our final Certificate II in media, we started this Assessment through the year. We based it on a teaser called American Horror Story as we wanted this horrific and glory .  The competency for this unit was, CUFPOS201A Preform basic vision and sound editing.

The role for me in the production was undertaking lighting and Co-editor, with Ali and myself through the term that we finished our filming. To create this trailer we needed a duration time of 1 minute and 42 second of our whole production.

The parts of the trailer that was successful and we collaborated as a group, is Ali bear scene and the neck scene with Claudia because of the lighting technique in the background and the costumes that went in it. The scene that i was in was not successful and needed work, as we were trying to appeal a dark scary look, however the costume did not suit the scene as we did not have the right equipment for the day. The techniques of the blood dropping down out of mouth was not effective as we hoped for.

I would not change anything in this production if i was to redo, except the scene of myself in it because it did not look scary and appealing as i wanted it to be.

We are creating a film project using Claudia’s soundscape.

The aim of our production is to create a creepy and sinister atmosphere. It will shock our audience with terror and excitement.

The visual that appears when we hear the soundtrack  is eerie and dark, crazy dialogue sets a scene similar to a mental institution and a background track of a creepy children’s song brings a sense of spine-chilling intrigue.  We’re going to use a mixture of ominous shots to bring our vision to life and create a disturbing presence in the form of a trailer.
